I wanted to write her a cute “Thank You” note; but of course, got busy and time went by until today I finally sat with a piece of paper. Started by telling her 9th Street comes after the 8th. Such an important info when you are late to catch a bus back home, like I did in NY. The crazy lady wanted to keep my company longer and mislead me to the opposite direction – 10th Ave. – with the excuse of getting lost “for a minute”. Oh yeah lady, I know, I know… next time I will be in charge of directions, okay? phew!
As I continued in my note and was struggling with finding a good pen, I remembered of some pics we took while waiting at the train station that afternoon and decided to actually do something different: a “Photo” Thank You note. I had these casual pics of her and it was going to be perfect to portray how such a nice person she is – and specially was for me a new friend she met online.
Yep, we met online. Facebook! yay yay! Few months ago, in a photographers “closed” group called “Fast Track Brasil” where fellow brazilians photogs exchange ideas, opinions, laughs and much more. We usually talk daily there and when she knew a product premiere was going to happen there and I wanted to go, she promptly offered her house for me to stay overnight. Such a big deal for me that had to travel to the same event last year, on a Fung Wah chinese bus, leaving midnight from NY’s Chinatown. What an upgraded! Provided by God. I was very blessed and knowing Deborah thru the group, made me comfortable accepting her sweet offer.
I finally got to meet her, and first impression that we had was: “How tiny little you are” and “How tall you are”! lol
Thanks Deborah for everything, for opening your house for me. May God bless you always, and please come to Boston too someday so I can try to do the same!
Now, to the pics, in which I also got some surprises. Couple friends we have in common (who also met for the first time in NY) sent me some words about you I’d like to share. Take care. I hope you like. ;.)
