CIBELE and FAMILY | Spring Session | Boston Creative Photographer

Fé nanica a minha!

I “think” they did; and I loved it!

Cibele, “Obrigada pela confiança. Sua família é linda!”
My awesome God, “Thanks for creating the beauty that frames my subjects, which are a creation of yours! Love you Lord!”

WORDS on WEDNESDAYS… well, on a Thursday!

Thursday is the new Wednesday?
Not at all! But the post wasn’t finished until very late yesterday! My bad!
I actually had chosen all the single images since the beginning the week, but the part I like most is to put all together, play with it; and that was the last task of the day…

Anyway, this time most of the quotes are Bible verses. Yay! My favorite, loved book.
I hope you enjoy it!  I did! ;.)
Be-Blessed!

WORDS on WEDNESDAY “Mother’s Week Special”

Mother’s Day is such a special day for me, so much meaning, specially after I had my daughter and being an ocean apart from my mom; who taught me to grow strong and go for my dreams. So, this week – before I start crying – on “Words on Wednesday” I decided to use some of my own images and celebrate the moments I was fortunate to witness. Lots of love between mom and their children, no matter how old they were, even if still in their bellies, the love is the same.

“Bella” Maria Medina | Boston Creative Photographer

I met MARIA at church. She is a happy pretty woman, and I don’t remember ever seeing her without a big smile in her face, and, of course, colorful clothes on – which makes us bond perfectly. She sings at church, makes friends easily, and is outgoing. When, on a Valentine’s Day party she was the winner a photo shoot with me, I could not be more excited. I knew she was coming all giggly and posing like a Vic’s Angel… Well, the funny thing is: I was wrong!

On the day of the pictures Maria arrived all prepared with her killer black dress, pretty tights and girly red shoes -“Va Va Voom!” - then, she got camera shy! I could not believe how reserved she was getting in front of the camera! Maybe it was my “soft” voice what scared her; or, probably my neon yellow nails.

What I do when that happens – most people, including really outgoing peoplefreeze when first get in front of a camera – is to put the camera down and chat for a few minutes, to break the ice and create a connection. Little kids like my dance moves and think I’m Barney. The bigger ones, love the words “candy” and “dollar” . For girly ladies, fashion always work: “Where did you get your dress?”, “Can I borrow your shoes someday?”, and the old: “Macy’s in on sale.”. Guys, like to think they’re cool, and usually open up as soon as I tell them they look like Tom Brady. Actually, two seconds later, when I remember that “lie is a sin”, I fix it: “Ops, not quite. Wagner – my husband – is the one who looks like the Patriots hunk”! Yay! Right there a genuine smile comes and I press the shutter!

Talking about handsome hubby, the pictures you see here of Maria smiling bigger, were taken when I told her about the day I bought him – and made he try it on – skinny jeans. Oh my.
Now, I bet you are smiling too!  ;.)

Ok… now everyone knows my secret!
Maria, Thanks so much for being pretty to my lens! We love you.
Keep glamorous, living out loud, and shining our Lord’s glory.

Don’t forget, “B”Blessed ;.)

“The Story of Easter” | Drawings by Beria | DOWNLOAD Printable Page

Photography + Design + Beria’s crazyness!

Easter is coming and I decided to share here something I created for Joy. Another day she came from school with this very simple – easy to understand – version of the Easter story (not about chocolate and bunnies! Thank God for Christian Schools!), and I had an idea of doing it my way, with the stick figures and foldable, to make it more fun! I even made big prints of it’s pages and hung in my church’s walls. People liked it so much that next Sunday we will be giving the little booklets to all the kids, so they are able to memorize it and tell this amazing story of Christ’s resurrection to their friends and families! How cute!

Feel free to print the file in pdf or jpeg formats. The links are in the bottom of this post.

Remember, Jesus Christ died so we could live!
