Here I am again, one more Wednesday fun! I finally got to post an artwork I did from something I read: “1o ways to love”, which I will also be posting on my facebook page.

I met Telma years ago. A sweet lady who loved to work at church, and had the missionary service as her passion; bringing tears to her eyes very often when talking about it. She was also a loving wife and mother of two: a smart boy who had an easy memory for Bible verses (and once was at my class when I used to teach at Sunday School – ooo wait! Did I jus feel old for a second?); and there was Rebeca. A “cute little girl” who looked shy, but liked to dance as one of those musical box ballerinas.
Ten years have passed, and although I still see her every week, last Tuesday, I had the pleasure to witness the same Telma, glowing the same way she did all this time, but crying for another reason. Crying for the joy of seeing accomplishment. Crying seeing her little girl happy and happening. She was sending Rebeca off to prom. And how they – little girl and sweet mom -looked!

Thanks Telma for trusting me on this important mission of capturing moments  you will cherish forever. I want you to know that I admire you as a “Woman of God” and, me having my own little girl, was deeply touched by the thought that one day our babies will grow and fly. Let’s keep praying for God to lead us on giving them “strong wings” and a “comfy nest” where they can always come back.

Beautiful in green and sparkly silver shoes, Rebeca went to Prom with her High School sweetheart, Andriy. They looked so cute! We took advantage of an industrial space – with people cheering at them! – and had the brick walls bringing color to the pictures. I’m so happy how it came out. Kim é daquelas crianças que olha tudo ao redor antes de abrir um sorriso. Desconfiada que seria fotografada como “estrela da tarde”, tive que aproveitar a compania da minha “Director of Cuteness” Joy, para que a brincadeira começasse e conseguisse clicar de maneira não muito óbvia…

Para minha surpresa, Kim se transformou logo que colocou um charmoso chapéu branquinho, com florzinha combinando com o vestido. Como não pensei nisso antes? Seguindo ainda o burburinho causado pelo casamento real, devia eu ter lembrado que “toda princesa merece um chapéu”, e Kim, “filha do Rei”, não era uma excessão! “Princess Kimberly it is!”

Além de “Princesa”, Kimberly se transformou numa linda borboletinha, vigiada pelos olhos da mamãe orgulhosa, que não quer que sua menininha voe pra longe tão cedo. Mas quando for hora de voar com suas próprias asinhas, meu coração vai estar feliz pela oportunidade de capturar esses momentos preciosos de mãe e filha. Amo!!! (yeah, I love my job!)
