Every time I have an outdoor shoot I keep an eye at the forecast. I know that my clients do too. We all hope for a sunny blue skies day, although my personal preference is overcast.
But when rain is expected, I feel bad for people who had booked months in advance and had it all planned perfectly. From the search for the perfect outfit, to finding a makeup artist, to asking the day off at their jobs.
With these couple was exactly what happened. Their session was on a Saturday and since Monday I kept looking for a weather change and praying. Yes, I prayed for it! Of course! But the week passed and Friday came when I had to make the call. It was up to me to reschedule it or not. Vitoria sounded a little disappointed as she answer the phone: “It’s gonna rain”. I was broken hearted too. “Let me check it again and get back to you”, I said. The rain was expected to start at 4pm. I decided to take the chance. We moved things to one hour earlier, and I kept praying in my heart. “Dear God, please, she’s so happy to be doing this, and who am I to ask You to hold the rain for a little bit; but You said everything we ask with faith, we shall receive.” Off we went, and these pictures help finish my story with a “visual”. Thank you Lord!

Maravilhoso Trabalho Beria!!!!Lindas Fotos!
One of the things we have to remember is to “keep the love alive”. Sometimes we get so into our kids and the indescribable bond that is created, we only worry about their needs; that we end up forgetting about our spouses. Than time will go and what will be left at home is only the couple again, and if there is no connection anymore, things will be though and cold.
I don’t know why I started a Fall post talking about this, but it surely hit me when I was selecting these pictures. I could talk about how this mom wanted to book this since last winter; I could mentioned that we got together three times to check her outfits; maybe describe how the boys got some apples and really aimed at my camera, but I saw something more. A beautiful couple that really enjoys their happy family, but most of all, enjoyed themselves.

Sempre sonhei em fazer uma sessao de fotos com minha familia, mas nao conseguia encontrar uma pessoa que me deixasse a vontade descontraida, meu marido e muito timido, nao gosta de tirar fotos, quando vi o trabalho da Beria e a conheci, pensei agora vou ter as minhas fotos, foi exatamente como imaginei, nos divertimos muito, lembro de cada momento, meu marido ate me perguntou quando vamos tirar mais fotos kkkk.Beria que Deus te ilumine a cada dia mais e mais. bjs!!!!!!

I’m so related to mom-and-daughter bonds, it makes the sessions flow much more spontaneous, and these two should get a prize for keeping it up in such a cold morning we had.
It was freezing, but these were moments that warmed my heart, and I wanted nothing less than produce beautiful images for them to cherish!

I was so happy for this photo shoot! Milene called me last year for the Fall sessions, but ended up not doing. This time, when I started booking, she was the first to call, rephrasing that was her dream to have professionally done family pictures. A week ago, her dream came true, and I was so glad to be part of that moment!
She looked stunning as usual, kids were excited – literally jumping up and down, and daddy happy. It was a nice afternoon and the family had fun together, all reflected in these lovely images.
