Overslept this morning. Was then late for a doctor’s appointment; didn’t have time for breakfast or my devotional reading. Worst of all, missed manicure, what I take as t-r-a-g-e-d-y. No red nails this week!
Hiding my hands behind the wheels, I left home in a rush to only notice how beautiful the day was when I HAD to stop at a red light. It was a bright day, no gloves needed, and I couldn’t resist to roll down the window. There it was, all I needed; fresh air. The “smell” of Spring that changed my mood. I’ll enjoy the day and cherish my HOPE.
When I met Ivna & Vinicius for photographs something similar happened. A gray cold winter morning; snow in the ground. But the weather didn’t affect the hope that those “two love birds” had to make it happen. They arrived for their engagement session with the biggest smile, a suitcase full of clothes – that she later confessed it was all hers -, and a wish to beautifully show their affection. It warmed my heart and very quick made my frozen fingers enjoy the shutter again. Let’s do it, I said.
Sweet! Because the location we chose was as cool as I could ask. Bricks, metal, car junk yard. A place there I know from driving by each Sunday in my way to church. Crazy block that someone else could label “abandoned“; but me, “potential“. You just have to see it thru my lens.
