This year I had limited my Fall sessions to a certain number, to maintain sanity and also the level of quality service my clients deserve. When Cristina called I was fully booked and it broke my heart not being able to photograph her family. I’m not a fan of doing that, but I’m learning to use it for my business – and again, the clients – benefit. Then she called back few days later. This time, not wanting to sound arrogant, I told her the only way I could do it was in between two schedule sessions, 12pm on a Sunday, and completely didn’t expect her to say she would do it. Well, she did. It was going to be a challenge for me to shoot in a bright midday sun, but when I hang up the phone I was overwhelmed with the feeling that someone needed family portraits that much and they had chosen me – a long one hour drive from where they live – to document those important moments of “mommy and boys”. Cristina, thank you. I’m so glad we got to meet!

Cristina’s 2 boys are the cutest! I’ve photographed brothers many times, but these two are just very close friends! I remember getting ready to start the pictures and the very first thing they did without me asking, was them hugging each other, making a pose! Usually brothers in that age fight a lot; can’t stand next to each other… so, of course, looking at that scene I had my “awwww” moment before pressing the shutter. From that minute on, the session was full of love, lots of fun, and I learned a lesson that I should love my brother more and demonstrate that often. I missed being around him dearly, and I left that location wishing he lived a little closer so I could stop by and give him a big hug”!

Cristina and kids, thanks for coming from far away! May these images be cherished forever!
Be-Blessed!
