THE JOY OF FALL 8 | “Vitoria & Carlos” | Boston Creative Photographer

Every time I have an outdoor shoot I keep an eye at the forecast. I know that my clients do too. We all hope for a sunny blue skies day, although my personal preference is overcast.
But when rain is expected, I feel bad for people who had booked months in advance and had it all planned perfectly. From the search for the perfect outfit, to finding a makeup artist, to asking the day off at their jobs.
With these couple was exactly what happened. Their session was on a Saturday and since Monday I kept looking for a weather change and praying. Yes, I prayed for it! Of course! But the week passed and Friday came when I had to make the call. It was up to me to reschedule it or not. Vitoria sounded a little disappointed as she answer the phone: “It’s gonna rain”. I was broken hearted too. “Let me check it again and get back to you”, I said. The rain was expected to start at 4pm. I decided to take the chance. We moved things to one hour earlier, and I kept praying in my heart. “Dear God, please, she’s so happy to be doing this, and who am I to ask You to hold the rain for a little bit; but You said everything we ask with faith, we shall receive.” Off we went, and these pictures help finish my story with a “visual”. Thank you Lord!

He was very shy at the beginning, but then, they were so happy that they forgot about me! “Hello-o, look to the camera!” haha!

And the rain came. Just in time for the last picture. I couldn’t resist and added a verse from one of my favorite songs: “When the rain come” by Third Day.
